Massimov Karim Kazhimkanovich
Born on June 15, 1965 in Tselinograd.
Graduated from Patrice Lumumba University of Peoples' Friendship (1985-1988), Ryskulov Kazakh Economic University, Kazakh State Academy of Management (KazSAM).
In 1988-1989 studied Chinese at Beijing Language Institute, trained at the Wuhan University of Law (1989-1991) and Columbia University (USA). In 1998 graduated from the graduate school KazSAM, and in 1999 - a doctorate of Moscow State Technological Academy. In the same year defended his doctoral dissertation on the topic of "Problems of Formation of Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan and their solutions (theory and practice)."
1991 - Head of division of the Ministry of Labor of Kazakhstan.
1992-1995 - worked in the Kazakh commercial structures in China and Hong Kong.
1995-1996 - Chairman of the Board of "Almaty Merchant Bank."
1996-1997 - Acting Chairman of the Board "Turan Bank".
1997-2000 - Chairman of the Board of "People's Savings Bank of Kazakhstan".
2000-2001 - Minister of Transport and Communications of Kazakhstan.
2001-2003 - Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan.
2003-2006 - Assistant to the President of Kazakhstan.
2006-2007 - Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan (at the same time from April to October 2006 - Minister of Economy and Budget Planning).
2007-2012 - Prime Minister of Kazakhstan.
2012-2014 - Head of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
From January 21, 2014 - Acting Secretary of State of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
From April 2, 2014 till September 8, 2016 - Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
By the presidential decree dated September 8, 2016, № 318 was appointed as Chairman of the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
March 18, 2019 – by decree of the Head of state №877 was given the special rank of Major General of the national security.
Doctor of Economic Sciences. Speaks Kazakh, Russian, English, Chinese and Arabic.
