On October 15, 2020, the Department of the Border Service in the Zhambul region (at the checkpoint "Karasu") prevented an attempt to illegally cross the State border of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

During the inspection of a Mercedes-Benz car by the border guard, 6 citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic were found in the car, hiding from passport control and trying to cross the border without registration.

The driver of the car and 6 citizens of Kyrgyzstan were detained, a criminal case was initiated for an attempt to illegally cross the State border of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

It should be noted that since the beginning of the year, under the conditions of the current quarantine restrictions, this is not the first attempt to illegally cross the border, which was suppressed by the military personnel of the Border Service.

Given the current situation, the border guards have strengthened control measures at the state border in order to identify violators of the State border.
